Career:
After graduating from OSU, Alice Raney worked in public health in Hartford, Connecticut and Los Angeles, California before enlisting in the Army and joining the Army Nurse Corps, and eventually worked in England starting March 1944. While working in England, she fell ill and later died in a New York military hospital. Raney was the first Ohio State woman to die in World War II.
