Career:

U.S. Air Force Major Terrell “Terry” Brayman was both an exceptional pilot and officer respected by anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. After commissioning and entering active duty on May 23rd, 2014, Major Brayman attended Undergraduate Pilot Training at Laughlin AFB, Texas. After successfully earning his wings, Major Brayman began flying the U-28A with the 34th Special Operations Squadron at Hurlburt Field before transitioning into the CV-22 with the 21st Special Operations Squadron at Yokota Air Base, Japan. During a training flight on November 3rd, 2023, Major Brayman’s aircraft experienced a mechanical failure which resulted in a crash, tragically taking the life of Major Brayman and seven other U.S. service members.

Major Brayman is remembered fondly by his peers who attended The Ohio State University with him. Frequently donning his iconic Buffalo Bills sweatshirt, Brayman’s peers described him as “an absolute riot to be around at all times,” and someone who was “unabashedly himself, to the annoyment and enjoyment of everyone around him.” Others remember him for his interesting meal choices and his quick wit. All, however, remember him as one of “the goofiest, most light-hearted people,” and a man who truly brought a lot of laughter into everyone’s life. He will be sorely missed.
